Using Du3y in Discord

Du3y works in Discord too. Every invoice you send or receive shows up as a card in your alert channel, and the card updates when the invoice is approved, paid or rejected.

Only the owner of your Du3 organization can do this. On Discord, you also need permission to manage the server.

  1. In Du3, go to Settings → Du3y & integrations (on the app: Settings → Du3y).
  2. Under Discord, choose Add to Discord.
  3. On Discord’s page, pick your server and choose Authorize.
  4. You come straight back to Du3, connected.

Du3y starts posting in your server’s main channel, the one where Discord shows welcome messages. To use another channel, pick it under Alert channel in the same place. Owners and admins can change it at any time.

One Discord server can be connected to one Du3 organization.

Command What it does
/du3 The same commands as Slack. Type /du3 and Discord lists every option (new, link, list, view, paid, edit, delete, summary, help); pick one and fill in what it asks. Only you see the answer.
/du3y Ask in your own words, like /du3y what's overdue?. Everyone in the channel sees the question and the answer.

Du3y can’t read ordinary messages in Discord, so mentioning it won’t work. Use /du3y instead.

The person who added Du3y to the server is an admin there. Everyone else in the server can use Du3y as a member. See Team & roles for what each role can do.

The owner can choose Disconnect Discord in the same settings. Du3y stops posting there. Your invoices stay in Du3. To remove the bot from the server too, remove it in Discord’s server settings.
